The head coach of the Saudi Al-Faiha commented on the club’s readiness before the match with Ahal
The rival of the Turkmen “Ahal” in group “A” in the AFC Champions League “Al-Feikha” (Saudi Arabia) arrived in Turkmenistan. The team has already held its first training session in the capital.
The head coach of Al-Feiha, Serbian Vuk Rasovic, shared with an ORIENT correspondent his expectations for the upcoming game with Ahal.
— The team is ready for a difficult confrontation with the champion of Turkmenistan, who showed good football last season. We already have experience in the AFC Champions League and intend to fight for access to the playoffs. We are not going to underestimate the strength of our opponent. We will only play to win. The team intends to demonstrate its best football. I hope that the match will take place in a friendly and sporting atmosphere.
When asked why the team decided to conduct training immediately upon arrival, the coach replied that it was necessary to adapt to local conditions. He said the workout was easy and aimed at warming up muscles and joints, as well as boosting mood and morale. He added that the team feels good and is ready for the upcoming match.
The first match of the Turkmen team against the Saudi Al-Faiha will take place on September 19 at 21:00 at the Ashgabat stadium.
