Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent a message to Emomali Rahmon
National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent a message to the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, in which he expressed gratitude for the warm welcome of the delegation of Turkmenistan and the great respect shown to it during the Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the meeting of the Council of Heads of State in Dushanbe, founders of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.
“During these events, our meaningful meeting with you, based on sincerity and trust, once again showed the inviolability of the great friendship and brotherhood, good neighborly relations between the Turkmen and Tajik peoples. We not only preserved these values, but also brought them to the present day and made them the basis of interstate relations,” Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wrote.
The head of the Khalk Maslakhaty emphasized that in the current difficult conditions of global development, the confirmation in Dushanbe of the community of fraternal peoples, the call for further strengthening of friendship and cooperation in all areas, strengthening the political and ideological foundations of unity, stability and solidarity of the Central Asian states are of deep importance.
The National Leader noted the hospitality, respect and openness at these events, which largely ensured their successful conduct and achievement of their goals.
The message says that his willingness to strengthen friendship and cooperation has earned Emomali Rahmon great respect in Turkmenistan. “Turkmens and Tajiks are not only neighbors, but also brothers, who are connected with each other by culture, religion and traditions, understanding that they are united by a common historical destiny in the past, present and future.”
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also believes that the presentation of the Badge of Honor of the Heads of State of Central Asia by the President of Tajikistan and the ceremony organized on this occasion in Dushanbe once again proved the friendly and fraternal relations of our peoples.
“I sincerely thank you for all the work you do to strengthen and develop Turkmen- Tajik relations. During your leadership of Tajikistan, qualitative progress has been achieved in our cooperation in politics, economics and culture. Ensuring and strengthening regional, as well as global stability and security in foreign policy, has strengthened mutual cooperation,” the message says made public in the news release of the Turkmen State Television and Radio.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highly appreciated Tajikistan’s support for the neutrality of Turkmenistan, its international initiatives and once again congratulated Emomali Rahmon on the successful holding of high-level events in Dushanbe, assuring that Turkmenistan will always have close relations with Tajikistan and “firmly pursue the high goals set on the basis of our friendly relations."
The National Leader of the Turkmen people also wished Emomali Rahmon good health, family well-being and further success in his multifaceted state and political activities as the leader of Tajikistan.
