The traditional month "Road safety – the tranquility of our life" starts in Turkmenistan, which will be held from September 1 to September 30 this year. This was stated during a Cabinet meeting held on August 31.

Taking into account the recommendations of the relevant ministries and departments, an action Plan has been developed that provides for the implementation of comprehensive measures to ensure road safety.

The campaign covers various areas of activity related to transport and roads. Within the framework of the month, various events are held throughout the country, in particular thematic conferences are organized

The purpose of this campaign is to educate citizens about the rules of the road, to prevent violations, as well as to form a respectful attitude towards other road users. Special attention is paid to educational institutions where work is being done to educate literate and law-abiding pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. Students and schoolchildren study the rules of the road, participate in games and quizzes, and also visit museums and exhibitions dedicated to the topic of road safety.

In this regard, Deputy Prime Minister N. Amannepesov was instructed, together with the Minister of Internal Affairs, hakims of velayats, rectors of universities and directors of secondary schools, to discuss actions for the organized holding of the above-mentioned month in September and later report on the results of the work done.

In addition, the country continues to improve the regulatory framework governing road traffic. New laws and regulations are being introduced that establish requirements for the technical condition of vehicles, driver qualifications, speed limits and other aspects of road traffic. Control and punishment for traffic violations are also being strengthened.

At the same time, targeted programs are being implemented in the country for the construction and repair of highways, bridges and other road transport infrastructure facilities. They strive to create a modern and safe road network that meets high international requirements and standards.

The campaign "Road Safety is designed to help create a favorable environment on the roads and improve the quality of life of citizens.
