VI Asian Student Forum to be held in Samarkand
The VI Asian Student Forum, organized on the initiative of the Association of Asian Universities, will be held in the Uzbek city of Samarkand from 6 to 8 September. The platform of the forum will be Samarkand State University named after Sh. Rashidov, which will bring together more than 200 representatives of creative youth from 30 higher educational institutions of Central Asia, Russia and China, the Uzbek press reports.
The Asian Student Forum is designed to promote the development of youth contacts in the cross-border space of Russia and Asia, instill in the younger generation a careful attitude to traditional national cultures, their history and current state, as well as draw the attention of young people to the implementation of international cultural, humanitarian, educational and educational projects.
In this regard, one of the central topics of the forum will be the study and preservation of the common cultural and historical heritage of the peoples of Central Asia. On the sidelines of the conference there will be presentations of scientific and social student projects, as well as a traditional festival of national cultures, where each delegation will present its creative achievements.
The Asian Student Forum has been held since 2012 in iconic places associated with the ancient history and culture of the peoples of Central Asia. The first forum was held in Gorny Altai on the basis of Altai State University, and the last one - in 2021 on the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake with the support of the Kyrgyz National University named after Zh. Balasagyn. For 10 years, more than one and a half thousand students from Asia and Russia have become participants in the youth project.
As part of the forum, Samarkand will also host a coordinating meeting of rectors of 26 universities - members of the Association of Asian Universities. In total, the association includes 96 universities of Central Asia.
