A creative action was held in Ashgabat near the monument to Magtymguly Fragi
A solemn event dedicated to the upcoming 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi was held in Ashgabat at the monument to the classic.
In the capital's square, famous artists and singers presented a festive program with musical works based on the verses of Fragi and contemporary poets. Writers and cultural workers also took part in the action. In their speeches, they noted the enduring value of the literary heritage and creativity of the people's poet, who preached humanism and patriotism. There was also a new poem “Magtymguly Fragi, the Fountainhead of Reason”, authored by National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
“Magtymguly Fragi is a poet of eternity. The reason for such popularity lies in the fact that his work leaves no one indifferent, it attracts millions of readers with its special soulfulness, penetration, ardent love for the Motherland, for its people,” Gozel Shagulyeva, People's Writer of Turkmenistan said.
Creative events dedicated to the anniversary date of Magtymguly Fragi started in other countries of the world - Azerbaijan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkey and others. Exhibitions, scientific conferences, round tables and discussions are held in cultural centers, national libraries, universities in honor of the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet, which will be widely celebrated in 2024.
