President: Turkmenistan is ready to consider specific proposals of Palestine on cooperation


Turkmenistan is ready to consider specific proposals of Palestinian partners for further cooperation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said during a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine, Riyad al- Maliki.
During the audience held on Friday, the diplomat conveyed to the head of state an invitation from President Mahmoud Abbas to visit Palestine and confirmed his country's desire to strengthen interstate dialogue.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked for the invitation and noted that one of the priority vectors of Turkmenistan's foreign policy is the development of fruitful cooperation with the countries of the Middle East.
In this context, the President expressed confidence that the current visit of the head of the Palestinian Foreign Ministry to Ashgabat and the consultations and negotiations included in his program will provide an opportunity for a constructive exchange of views on a wide range of issues of interstate relations.

It was emphasized that Turkmenistan and the State of Palestine actively cooperate in a multilateral format, including within the framework of the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other structures. In this regard, taking the opportunity, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude to the leadership of the State of Palestine for their continued support for the status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan and its foreign policy.
It was also noted that there are ample opportunities for the development of mutually beneficial trade and economic partnership. The holding of bilateral consultations and the creation of conditions for establishing contacts between representatives of the private sector of both countries were designated as practical steps in this direction.
It was paid attention to the stimulation of fruitful ties in the area of science, education and culture.
