Turkmenistan and Palestine to create a joint committee at the government level


Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine, Riyad Al- Malik, during his visit to Ashgabat, met on Friday with Speaker of the Turkmen Parliament Dunyagozel Gulmanova and Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov.
At the talks in the Mejlis, Al-Malik got acquainted with the reforms in the legislative sphere of Turkmenistan, the application of the best world experience in this area for legal support in solving the problems of the political, economic and social development of the country.

During the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries agreed on annual consultations on issues of mutual interest through the diplomatic departments, as well as within the framework of international conferences.
Issues on creating the basis for business contacts were discussed, the possibilities of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Palestinian International Cooperation Agency - PICA were considered, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said.
At the end of the negotiations, the Protocol on political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine and an intergovernmental Memorandum on the establishment of a joint government committee were signed.
