Fantastic Invasion, world authors and a Hollywood star in the program of the ComicConAstana festival
ComicConAstana – an international festival dedicated to the industry of comics, cinema, video games, anime and other areas of modern popular culture, will be held in Astana on September 15-17. A cosplay contest will be held within the framework of the forum, and fans of fantastic blockbusters will be presented with exclusive materials, according to the website of the organizing committee of the festival.
Being one of the world's most famous festival brands, ComicConAstana plans to host about 70 thousand guests. The organizers will once again present to the audience an alley of comic book authors and a fair zone where you can buy special paraphernalia, anime, comics, books, handmade products or unusual goods. More than 150 authors from around the world, including Italy and Spain, are expected to participate, as well as the presentation of new products and exclusives.
The company "Meloman" – the official distributor of the Disney studio in Kazakhstan and CIS countries – will bring branded stands to Astana and present future premieres: "The Creator" (from the director of "Star Wars: Rogue One", in the cinema from September 28) and "Captain Marvel 2" (in the cinema from November 9).
An interactive zone for techno-geeks will also be created at the festival convention, within which a variety of content from game manufacturers will be presented. A Hollywood celebrity, whose name is still kept secret, has also been invited to the convention. For example, in 2019 the headliner of the festival was Pilu Asbek, the performer of the role of Euron Greyjoy in the TV series "Game of Thrones".
"In general, the festival program is expected to be extremely saturated with a lot of parallel events. The festival will traditionally include meetings with stars, premieres and special shows, cosplay shows, official presentations of new products. At the moment, we have formed a 70-80 percent program, but we still receive and consider dozens of conceptual partner proposals every day that can strengthen the content block of the festival. A truly fantastic invasion awaits fans!" promised Natalia Abrashkina, general producer of the ComicConAstana festival.
