Turkmen wushu wrestlers won three bronze medals at the Asian Youth Championship


Turkmen wushu wrestlers won three bronze medals at the Asian Youth Championship held in Macau (China) from 14 to 21 August.
Gudrat Ovezgeldiyev was awarded the bronze medal in the weight category up to 56 kg. He reached the semi-final stage of the tournament, however, losing to his opponent, Ovezgelduev had to fight for bronze.
In the fight for the third place, the Turkmen athlete turned out to be stronger than the opponent, thus becoming the owner of the bronze medal of the continental championship.
Eziz Mukhammedov brought another bronze to the treasury of the Turkmen team in the weight category up to 70 kg. Bibimeriem Akmammedova also won a bronze medal in the weight category up to 52 kg.
The Asian Championship in Macau brought together over a thousand athletes from 26 countries.
