The President of Turkmenistan will visit Hungary


Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjarto announced the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Hungary on August 19-20, media reported, citing a high-ranking official.
In addition to the head of the Turkmen state, visits are expected from the presidents of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the former prime ministers of the Czech Republic, Austria and Slovenia.
It is planned that the main topic of the forthcoming summit will be energy security, and the issues of combating illegal migration will also be touched upon.
Earlier, the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, in a conversation with his Turkmen counterpart, expressed support for the authorities of Turkmenistan in developing the Global Security Strategy, initiated within the framework of the regular session of the UN General Assembly.
The Prime Minister of Hungary, during his visit to Ashgabat in June this year, noted that Turkmenistan can make an important contribution to the diversification of energy supply in Europe. Then, during the visit, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gladly accepted the invitation of the Hungarian head of government to visit Budapest.
