Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed condolences to Putin in connection with the explosion at the gas station in Makhachkala


President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent deep condolences to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in connection with the human casualties and injuries as a result of an explosion at a gas station in the city of Makhachkala.
On behalf of the people and the Government of the country, as well as on his own behalf, the Head of Turkmenistan conveyed words of empathy and support to all the relatives and friends of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured, Turkmenistan Today reports.
The national leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also sent condolences to the President of the Russian Federation on the occasion of the tragedy in Makhachkala.
According to Russian media, an explosion at a gas station in Makhachkala on Monday evening killed 35 people.
According to TASS, on Monday evening there was an explosion at a gas station at the exit from Makhachkala, a strong fire started. The fire area reached 600 sq. m., the fire was assigned an increased level of complexity, more than 70 people and 20 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. Firefighters managed to localize and then eliminate the fire at night.
According to investigators, the fire and the explosion that followed it occurred in the building of the car service station. Two of the eight fuel tanks at the gas station exploded.
As a result of the emergency, according to the latest data, 35 people were killed and 80 injured, including children. In Dagestan, mourning was declared for the victims of the explosion at the gas station.
