Turkmen boxer won bronze at the II Muay Thai Games of the CIS countries


Representative of the national team of Turkmenistan in Muay Thai Muhammet Dzhumamuradov became the bronze medalist of the Thai boxing tournament on the final day of the II Games of the CIS countries, which were held in the Republic of Belarus. Turkmen sportsman, who competed in the weight category up to 86 kg, reached the semi-final stage, where in a stubborn confrontation he lost to his opponent, however, having shown a worthy fight in the duel for bronze, he was awarded the third step of the podium.
In the final fight in this weight category, Belarusian Nikita Kokosh defeated Samandar Iskenderov from Azerbaijan.
II Games of the CIS countries were held in Belarus from 4 to 13 August in 20 sports. More than 2.2 thousand athletes representing more than 20 countries took part in them. The solemn closing ceremony took place on August 13 in “Minsk- Arena”.
It should be noted that the national team of Turkmenistan took the tenth line in terms of the total number of medals at the II Games of the CIS countries in Belarus. The Turkmen team has 18 awards (3 silver and 15 bronze medals).
