Turkmen weightlifter Atajan Daiyev won a silver medal at the final in Grodno (Belarus) weightlifting tournament of the II Games of the CIS countries.

In the last form of the weightlifting program , medals were awarded in the heavyweight category - over 109 kg .

The Turkmen athlete became the owner of the silver dignity award, showing the result in the sum of the double-event - 351 kg (150+201). The champion in this weight was a weightlifter from Russia - 380 kg (160 + 220). Belarusian Danila Matskevich closed the top three - 325 kg (140 + 185).

Earlier, weightlifters Yulduz Jumabayeva and Ali Babamuradov brought silver medals to the treasury of the Turkmen national team. Weightlifter Sagiza Bagtyyarova won the bronze medal.
