The Turkmen delegation will take part in the Asian youth hockey camp in Tashkent

The Turkmen delegation will take part in the first ever Asian youth hockey camp, which will be held in Tashkent from July 31 to August 7. It will be organized by the Olympic Council of Asia in cooperation with the International Ice Hockey Federation.
The initiative has attracted great interest from 27 national Olympic committees across Asia.
The National Olympic Committees of Afghanistan, Bahrain, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Oman, Pakistan, China, Singapore, UAE and other countries have also registered to participate in the program.
In total, the sports camp will bring together 126 athletes, judges and coaches. The Turkmen delegation will be represented by three people.
Nine instructors of the International Ice Hockey Federation, headed by Sports Development Manager Harald Springfield, will oversee this special program.
OCA has already held regional youth camps in other disciplines, but this is the first time that the emphasis is on winter sports.
Tony Tarraf, Head of OCA's Athlete Development and Special Projects Department, said that the Asian Olympic Council aims to develop winter sports, in particular hockey, in the region.
