Turkmenistan intends to hold media forum in partnership with ABU


The issues of organizing a media forum in September together with the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union were discussed during the meeting of Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography Annasahed Kakaev with Secretary General of the organization Ahmed Nadim.
The meeting was held as part of the ABU Global News Forum in Kuching, Malaysia.
Noting the constructive nature of the cooperation established between the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television and Radio Broadcasting and ABU, the parties discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation in the field of media.
The presentation of the city of Arkadag, which is the first smart city in Turkmenistan, also took place on the sidelines of the forum. The presentation was held by editor-in-chief of the International Information Center of Turkmenistan Tahir Khodjaev.
During the ABU Global News Forum, the 10 most active Asiavision members of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union were announced. It should be noted that among them Turkmenistan took the 7th place, having sent 293 materials for the period under review.
