The development of hydrogen energy in Turkmenistan was the topic of the meeting of the interdepartmental working group in Ashgabat


The second meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on the Development of Hydrogen Energy in Turkmenistan was held in Ashgabat on Tuesday under the leadership of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Berdyniyaz Matiyev. The meeting was attended by heads and representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the country, according to the website of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
The meeting considered priority tasks in this area - discussed the implementation of the Roadmap for the development of international cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy in Turkmenistan for 2022- 2023, and also explored the possibilities of applying foreign experience in this direction.
Energy diplomacy is one of the priorities of Turkmenistan's foreign policy. The country has rich reserves of energy resources and contributes to the development of international cooperation in the field of energy, consistently puts forward important initiatives in this area and actively participates in the implementation of projects of international and regional importance, the Deputy Minister noted in his speech.
Today, the country is engaged in the implementation of global initiatives in the field of hydrogen energy, the establishment of effective international cooperation in this field, the creation of a high-performance industry based on modern technologies, provided with qualified specialists, the participants of the meeting said.
The scientific base in the field of hydrogen energy is being strengthened and specialists are being trained for this field of science. The participants of the meeting were familiarized with the work of the Center for Hydrogen Energy, established at the Ya. Kakaev International University of Oil and Gas.
It was also noted at the meeting that in order to develop Turkmenistan's international partnership in the field of hydrogen energy, it is necessary to cooperate with reputable international organizations - the UN, OSCE, EU, ADB and such states as the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, etc.
