Shavkat Mirziyoyev won the presidential election of Uzbekistan, gaining 87.05% of the vote. On Tuesday, the Central Election Commission adopted a resolution on the election of Mirziyoyev to the post of head of the republic, the CEC reports.
Presidential elections in Uzbekistan were held on July 9. The voting was monitored by 797 international observers, including 160 observers from the Commonwealth countries. The final turnout in the elections was 79.8%, or 15.6 million voters. In the elections in 2021, Mirziyoyev received 80.31% of the votes with a turnout of 80.04%.
