Competitions were held in all three varieties of chess: with classical time control regulations, rapid (rapid chess) and blitz (lightning chess). In total, about 300 athletes from 9 countries took part in the championship.

In classical chess in the category up to 6 years, 6-year-old Begli Annagylydzhov from Turkmenistan had a very successful championship. He entered the top three after 9 rounds, gaining 7 points.

The first two lines were taken by athletes from Kazakhstan - Madi Madjitov (8 points) and Sanjar Rakhymtay (7.5 points). Despite the fact that for Begli it was the first experience in the international arena, he showed a worthy result.

Begli is a graduate of the Ashgabat chess club Küşt Älemi, where a number of other talented chess players also train under the guidance of an experienced coach and leader Gurbangeldi Amangeldiyev.
