Eurovision 2024 will be held in the Swedish city of Malmo

The Swedish city of Malmo will become one of the biggest concert venues next year – the 68th International Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be held here in May, Interfax reports with reference to the organizers.
The official website of the competition clarifies that the grand final of the competition will be held at the Malmo Arena on Saturday, May 11, and the semifinals will be held on Tuesday, May 7, and Thursday, May 9.
Malmo will host Eurovision for the third time. Previously, the competition was held in the city in 1992 and 2013. Sweden will host the song contest for the seventh time: in addition to Malmo, Eurovision was held in Stockholm in 1975, 2000 and 2016 and in Gothenburg in 1985.
According to the rules of the contest, the right to hold a musical competition is given to the country whose performer wins the last Eurovision Song Contest. Singer Lorin from Sweden with the song "Tattoo" became the winner of the contest in May this year, thereby determining the competitive location.
Eurovision has been held since 1956. Since 2015, Australia has been participating in the competition.
