Bidding on SCRMET: base oils and diesel fuel were in high demand


Base oils SN-180 ($763 per ton) and SN-350 ($799 per ton), diesel fuel L-0.5-62 ($585 per ton), smooth-dyed and dyed terry products ($4.60 per kg), cotton yarn (from $1.97 to $2.02 per kg) and flannel fabric ($0.55 per sq.m.) was in demand during trading on the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan on Monday, July 10.
During the auction, entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased a total of 4.5 thousand tons of base oils for $3.4 million and 5 thousand tons of diesel fuel for $2.9 million from Turkmenneft Group of Companies.
Businessmen from the UAE and Kyrgyzstan concluded deals with Turkmen economic societies for the purchase of 46.4 thousand kg of various types of terry products for $213.4 thousand.
A company from Turkey has signed contracts with Turkmen agricultural enterprises for the purchase of 220 thousand kg of various types of cotton yarn for $436.7 thousand.
A representative of the UAE business community purchased 500 thousand square meters of flannel from the Turkmen economic society for $275 thousand.
In total, 10 deals totaling $7.3 million were concluded during the auction.
