The Head of Gazprom and the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan discussed possible directions for the development of cooperation


Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Board, and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov held a working meeting on Thursday.
The parties considered topical issues of cooperation and discussed possible directions for the development of cooperation, according to a release published on the Gazprom website.

In 2013, the governments of Russia and Kyrgyzstan signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of transportation, distribution and sale of natural gas on the territory of the republic. The owner of the country's gas transmission and gas distribution systems is Gazprom Kyrgyzstan LLC, a 100% subsidiary of Gazprom PJSC and an exclusive importer of natural gas to the republic.
Over the years of partnership, Gazprom has implemented a number of social projects in Kyrgyzstan: it has built nine sports and recreation complexes in different regions of the country, and also opened a full- cycle comprehensive school "Gazprom Kyrgyzstan School".
