Turkish companies implemented construction projects worth $50.9 billion in Turkmenistan


Over the entire period of work in Turkmenistan, companies from Turkey have implemented construction projects in the country for a total of $50.9 billion, hurriyetdailynews.com reports with reference to the Turkish Ministry of Trade.
Last year, the same source estimated construction projects implemented by Turkish companies in Turkmenistan at $49.9 billion. That is, in about a year, Turkish construction companies completed $1 billion worth of work in Turkmenistan.
In total, in January-June 2023, Turkish contractors received 110 projects abroad for $7.5 billion, which is 63% more than in the same period of the last year.
Turkey is one of the key partners of Turkmenistan in the field of construction, contributing to the implementation of many projects in the country in various fields, such as transport, energy, healthcare, education, etc.
In April of this year, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov [invited] Turkish companies to take part in the construction of a complex for the production of products for children, as well as medicines near the Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center in the city of Arkadag.
