New Tunisian Ambassador received accreditation in Turkmenistan


Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Tunisian Republic to Turkmenistan Tarak Ben Salem presented his credentials to the Chairman of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova on Tuesday. The Head of the Parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to a responsible post and wished him success in his noble mission to strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two states.
The Chairman of the Mejlis informed the Ambassador about the main directions and priorities of Turkmenistan's state policy aimed at developing broad international cooperation in the interests of universal peace, security and well-being.
During the meeting, the diplomat was familiarized in detail with the large-scale socio-economic transformations being implemented in Turkmenistan, as well as with the structure and activities of the Mejlis. The sides called the development of inter-parliamentary ties one of the promising areas of cooperation between the countries.
Tarak Bin Salem, in turn, stressing Tunisia's interest in intensifying cooperation with Turkmenistan, confirmed his readiness to fully promote the development of fruitful contacts in various directions.
