In four hours of work, 5 million users have registered in the analogue of Twitter from Meta — the new social network Threads. This was announced by the co-founder of Meta Corporation Mark Zuckerberg on his page in Threads.

The new Threads text messaging service started its work on the night of July 6. It is available in more than 100 countries and supports over 30 languages.

The annotation of the app in the online App Store says that Threads is a platform to "discuss everything: from topics that are exciting today to what will be trending tomorrow."

Threads will be the third service owned by Meta, after the social network Instagram and the photo editor Layout.
