A step towards the digital era - foreign companies see great prospects in Turkmenistan
Foreign partner companies of the construction and industrial complex of Turkmenistan demonstrate interest in participating in projects to develop the movement of smart eco-cities in the country and, in particular, the city of Arkadag, supporting mutually beneficial partnership in the most relevant areas. This was announced at an international conference held on Tuesday dedicated to the implementation of state policy in the field of urban planning and industry.
Taking the opportunity and opportunity to personally report on the work done in Turkmenistan over the years of cooperation and current projects to the heads of the construction and industrial complex participating in the forum, delegates from companies gave concrete examples of their successful promotion in the Turkmen market and informed about plans and new proposals.
In particular, Ji Hwang, head of the representative office of South Korean Hyundai Engineering in the CIS countries, listed such major projects as a gas desulfurization plant, a polymer plant in Kiyanli, the construction of installations at the TCOPP, a Naval base and Academy, and other projects implemented with the participation of the company, and also named a number of promising and important projects under way negotiations. He noted that the company also has experience in the field of general civil construction based on know-how and the concept of a smart "city" with the creation of a new generation network infrastructure using artificial intelligence, big data and cloud computing.
"The construction of smart cities is a step towards the new digital age and Turkmenistan, following the competent policy of the country's leadership, confidently enters the realities of the modern world. And it will be a great honor for our company to work together with Turkmenistan to achieve new outstanding achievements," Ji Hwang said.
Tomohiro Takashina, Director of the Kawasaki Heavy Industries branch in Turkmenistan, also noted the fruitful cooperation for more than 10 years, the results of which were plants for the production of ammonia and urea in Mary and a plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas in Akhal – a unique enterprise of its kind, producing environmentally friendly synthetic motor fuel of the ECO-93 standard on an industrial scale EURO-5. This product, which meets the high requirements for quality and environmental protection, is sent both to neighboring countries and European countries.
The implementation of this grandiose investment project has become another step towards strengthening the chemical and oil and gas potential of Turkmenistan. Today, the company is working on projects to increase the tank farm at the existing gas gasoline plant and on comprehensive maintenance of this plant, a project for the construction of the second stage of the enterprise is being worked out.
The Turkish company Rönesans Inşaat also participated in this project, as well as a number of others, as part of an international consortium, which implemented, in addition, many construction and architectural projects commissioned by Turkmenistan, including a complex of buildings of the International University of Oil and Gas, administrative buildings of departments, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Minsk, Garagum and Divan hotels.
Among the company's current projects is a military secondary school of the Ministry of Defense for 700 people and an area of 55,600 square meters. It is planned to be completed in August 2024.
The Russian company Vozrozhdenie has also been present and has been successfully operating in the Turkmen market for more than 10 years, and as the deputy director of its local branch Eldar Iskanov noted, the company's motto - "Realizing the dreams of cities" - corresponds to the large-scale transformations that are underway today on Turkmen soil. they are implemented with the speed of the Akhal-Teke horse
Large transport infrastructure facilities were built in the country by the Ukrainian Altcom, on behalf of which the chief power engineer of the company Pavel Khmelevskoy spoke. He recalled that among them are the road bridges over the Amu Darya River Atamurat-Kerkichi and Turkmenabat-Farab, the longest Turkmenabat-Farab railway bridge in the country (1,750 meters), the railway bridge over the Karakum River, etc. And each of these complex objects has unique technical and structural solutions that ensure their reliability and durability.
To date, the turnkey construction of a new automobile bridge across the Garabogazgol Bay, located on the 122nd kilometer of the Turkmenbashi-Garabogaz highway-the border of Kazakhstan, is being implemented. Completion of construction is scheduled for June 2024.
And all this is only a small part of what has been built and is being built in Turkmenistan in cooperation with foreign partners, and the pace of construction work in the country is not decreasing, new plans and bold projects are being developed, one of which is the new city of Arkadag, and therefore foreign companies are interested in strengthening their positions in the promising Turkmen market.
