Test races were held in Tatarstan as part of the Silk Way Rally

Near the village of Shali in the Pestrechinsky district of Tatarstan, test runs were held as part of the Silk Way International Rally. It will take place from July 5 to 15. The teams tested their equipment for readiness for the start.
According to the crew members, such races are important not only for the equipment, but also for the pilots themselves.
“Someone had vehicles on a trailer, others on their own. Therefore, during the test races, we once again set up the equipment: we check the brakes, steering, and establish contact with the team. This allows both us and the equipment to warm up,” -the pilot of the KAMAZ-master team, the winner of the Dakar Rally, Eduard Nikolaev commented.
The official launch ceremony of the thirteenth Silk Way International Rally will take place on Millennium Square in Kazan. To become the owner of the main prize of the competition - the "White Tiger", the participants will have to overcome 5,241 kilometers of distance, of which 2,277 will fall on high-speed sections.
The route of the race is laid across the territories of 13 regions of Russia.
The ceremonial finish of the rally will take place on Vasilyevsky Spusk near the walls of the Moscow Kremlin.
Teams from Turkmenistan are expected to take part in the race. Thus, the winner of the previous rally, Merdan Toylyev, who represents the Motor Sports Federation of Turkmenistan, will have to defend his title in a tense fight against the reigning champion of Russia Anton Melnikov and two pilots of the LADA Sport ROSNEFT Raid team - Dmitry Voronov and Evgeny Sukhovenko.
