An Alley of Journalists has appeared in Astana

An Alley of Journalists has appeared in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, the Kazakh international news agency Kazinform reports.
Its opening took place on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the capital, which will be celebrated on July 6. In honor of the employees of the publishing industry, special sculptures of the Reader, Correspondent and Cameraman are placed on the alley.
"Journalism is a unique profession that requires great responsibility and makes a significant contribution to the development of society. I believe that the Alley of Journalists will become a favorite place of citizens and an ornament of the capital," Mayor of Astana Zhenis Kassymbek said, speaking at the opening ceremony.
He also noted that today there are offices of major print publications and mass media in Astana.
It should be noted that quite recently a new holiday was established in Kazakhstan — the National Press Day. It will be celebrated on February 2.
