British Minister of State to arrive in Turkmenistan to discuss bilateral cooperation

British Minister for Europe and Central Asia Leo Docherty will pay a visit to Turkmenistan to hold talks with officials and business representatives to discuss bilateral Turkmen-British cooperation. This is reported in a press release published on the website of the Government of the United Kingdom.
According to preliminary data, the State Minister will discuss the expansion of cultural cooperation with Turkmenistan, as well as partnership in the textile industry during a visit to the National Museum of the Turkmen Carpet.
The visit of a member of the British government is planned as part of a Central Asian tour: Turkmenistan and Tajikistan are waiting for their turn. The main purpose of the visit to the republics is to promote British business in local markets, as well as to consider topical issues in the field of ecology, energy and security.
A month ago, Docherty held talks with the Turkmen Ambassador to the UK, Yazmurat Seryaev, during which issues of cooperation in the inter-parliamentary, humanitarian, trade and economic spheres were discussed.
