The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Belarus increased by almost half in 2022


The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus increased by 46.6% in 2022. Such data is given by the Belarusian ambassador to the country Vyacheslav Beskosty in an interview with the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan" on the occasion of the Independence Day of the republic.
The head of the diplomatic mission noted that positive trade dynamics between the countries is also expected this year, which is a great merit of the leadership of Turkmenistan. In this context, it is worth noting the holding of the 10th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Belarusian Commission on Economic Cooperation, which will be held in Minsk in the second half of the year.
In addition, it was noted that the resumption of direct flights between the two friendly countries could help to restore the number of Turkmen first-year students who come to Minsk to study in the post-pandemic period. It is worth noting that currently more than 6 thousand citizens of Turkmenistan are coming to study in the republic.
