The President of Turkmenistan and the head of the Halk Maslahaty made a working trip around Ashgabat
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the national leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip around Ashgabat on Saturday and got acquainted with the construction of new facilities and structures.
The Head of State and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, in particular, inspected the new complex that replenished the infrastructure of the international airport of the capital, including hangars for airplanes and helicopters, tested an air trainer for training pilots and visited other facilities of the complex.
The head of the agency "Turkmen Airlines" Dovran Saburov reported on the equipment of new facilities, work on the establishment of aircraft maintenance, the state news agency TDH reports.
During the trip, the President and the national leader of the Turkmen people made a stop at the site of a cultural and entertainment center under construction in the northern part of the capital, near the Garagum Hotel, where they were presented with projects of structures under construction, as well as objects planned for reconstruction.
A shopping and entertainment center complex is being built in this area, which also includes a business center, an ice rink, a hall for weddings and other celebrations, underground passages with shops inside.
Deputy Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov informed the country's leadership about the ongoing work here, the improvement of the territories adjacent to the objects under construction, presented plans for the modernization of the city's road transport network, including the construction of bridges, overpasses and road interchanges.
