Turkmenistan to prepare national guidelines on influenza surveillance
The draft of the national guidelines on sentinel epidemiological surveillance of influenza and acute respiratory infections (ARI) was discussed in Turkmenistan.
The participants of the meeting also got acquainted with the implementation of the pandemic influenza preparedness project in Turkmenistan for 2024-2025, the progress made in the field of epidemiological and laboratory surveillance of influenza, ARI, coronavirus infection in the country. In this regard, we agreed on a plan of joint activities to be carried out within the framework of the project.
The discussions were attended by specialists of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, responsible for influenza and ARI surveillance, representatives of the Center for Public Health and Nutrition of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service (SES), the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after M.Garryev, as well as employees of the Country Office.
