Turkmenistan still ranks first in terms of pipeline gas supplies to China: in January - May, the country exported $4.25 billion worth of natural gas to China (an increase of about 13.5%). This was reported by the Main Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China.

Russia is in second place ($2.81 billion, an increase of 2.12 times), followed by Myanmar (an increase of 23.1%, to $630.53 million). This is followed by Kazakhstan (a decrease of 25.4%, to $300.13 million) and Uzbekistan (a drop of 60.71%, to $118.63 million).

The physical volume of imports of the specified energy carrier is not given in the online system of the department.

Uzbekistan has significantly reduced natural gas sales abroad in recent years due to growing demand in the domestic market. The country is increasing gas imports.

Kazakhstan is also reducing exports for a similar reason. The growth of domestic demand is due to the increase in gasification coverage of the country's regions and the fact that many large industrial enterprises have preferred gas to coal.
