In Russia, a portable ventilator AIVL-D was created for use at home and for a walk. It was developed by the Russian state corporation Rostech.

A small device weighing 4 kg can be adjusted to the physical condition of both adults and children. Built-in battery device allows it to work up to three hours without recharging. It is also silent in operation.

“The request for devices to support the life of the body outside of medical facilities - at home, during a walk, during transportation is extremely relevant today. AIVL-D is a modern, compact and lightweight device designed and manufactured in Russia. It is easy to use and provides considerable freedom to the patient in need of respiratory support. We expect to complete testing of the device and obtain registration from Roszdravnadzor as early as 2024,” Oleg Yevtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec commented.

Currently, preparations for technical and clinical testing of the device are underway.
