Artificial intelligence will broadcast sports competitions at the European Games-2023

The European Athletics Association will provide round-the-clock audio broadcasting of its competitions at the III European Games in Poland using artificial intelligence. The neural network will clone the voice of British middle-distance runner and commentator Hannah England.
The European Athletics Team Championship in Silesia within the framework of the European Games starts today, the day before the opening ceremony in Krakow, Poland.
To implement this initiative, the European Athletics Association worked with long-time partner Eurovision Sport, owned by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
The executive director of the association, Christian Milz, said that this decision is aimed at attracting a new audience to the competitions in Poland.
"Athletics is probably the most inclusive sport in the world, but we want to expand it even further by making this sport accessible to everyone. That's why we are constantly exploring how we can use advances in technology to achieve this goal, and now, thanks to the wonders of artificial intelligence and our partnership with Eurovision Sport, we have another innovative way to bring athletics to more people," he said.
