The main office of Bouygues Turkmen in Ashgabat installed solar panels

In accordance with the GreenLight strategy, Bouygues Turkmen is carrying out several measures to achieve its carbone reduction trajectory goals. One of the important indicators in reducing the carbon footprint is the energy efficiency of the buildings and the use of renewable energy sources.

A solar park with a total capacity of 62 kW, consisting of 114 solar panels has recently been installed in the main office of the Bouygues Turkmen company in Ashgabat. The facility is expected to generate more than 80 megawatt hours (MWh) of clean electricity annually and will reduce the CO2-equivalent greenhouse gas emissions by 55 tons of CO2 per year. The company plans further annual investments in solar power both in officies and on its sites.
Bouygues Turkmen is a pioneer in Turkmenistan in the field of energy efficiency of the buildings. Since 2012 the company’s main office building has an international LEED Gold certificate. All the building’s life-support control systems operate in automatic mode and allow efficient use of energy and water.
