The growth of the tourist flow to Turkey exceeded the forecasts of experts

The tourist flow to Turkey over the past 5 months has grown more than experts predicted, the Anadolu news agency writes, citing the words of the chairman of the Board of Directors of Şahinler Holding Kemal Shahin.
Thus, over 3.4 million tourists visited Antalya in January-May 2023, which is 40% more than in the same period of 2022. The largest number of tourists arrived at the resort from Germany — 827.6 thousand. Next are Russia — 783.7 thousand, and the UK — 352.1 thousand.
In general, the tourist flow in the country for 5 months of 2023 increased by 27.51% compared to the same period last year.
"By 2028, Turkey can receive 90 million tourists and achieve $100 billion in tourism revenue," Shahin said.
