The World Weightlifting Championships in 2024 will be held in Bahrain
Bahrain has won a bid to host the World Weightlifting Championships in 2024. Along with Bahrain, Armenia and Albania were candidates for the championship.
The President of the Bahrain Weightlifting Federation, the youngest member of the Board of the Asian Weightlifting Federation Eshak Ebrahim Eshak expressed his gratitude to the International Weightlifting Federation for the trust and promised to hold an unforgettable competition.
The championship is scheduled to be held in the capital of Bahrain, Manama, in November-December next year, a few months after the Olympic Games in Paris.
It should be noted that the Asian Weightlifting Championship held in Bahrain last October was highly appreciated by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF). Then IWF President Mohamed Jalud Al-Shammari said that Bahrain has every chance of hosting the World Cup in this sport.
