TAPI will be implemented soon — Pakistani official


Chairman of the Standing Committee on Oil and Resources of Pakistan Abdul Qadir said that the Turkmenistan— Afghanistan—Pakistan—India gas pipeline project will be implemented in the near future, the Daily Times reports.
According to the official, the recent joint agreement to accelerate the implementation of the TAPI project is a positive signal for all parties to the transaction, which, in turn, should use all available resources to complete the construction of this gas pipeline.
He noted that Pakistan should work on the potential of energy imports and make efforts to accelerate the implementation of related projects, emphasizing the special long-standing cultural and historical ties with Turkmenistan.
Abdul Qadir also emphasized that the commissioning of the gas pipeline will ensure the economic prosperity of the countries involved in this project.
