Putin proposed to introduce uniform standards of education in the CIS and the EAEU, without returning to the USSR, at a meeting in Sochi


Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested at a meeting with the premiers of the Eurasian Economic Union in Sochi on Friday to think about the introduction of common principles and standards of education in the CIS and the EAEU countries, but without returning completely to the Soviet system. This is reported by the TASS news agency.
It is important to rely on the fundamental foundations of the formation of the USSR, while moving forward on the basis of the best world practices, the Russian leader noted.
Putin also suggested that representatives of the EAEU and Commonwealth countries introduce general coordination of scientific programs, unification of requirements for professions, creation of unified textbooks on technical and other disciplines.
