Paraguay – a promising importer of petrochemicals produced in Turkmenistan
Paraguay is another country in Latin America that Turkmenistan established the diplomatic relations with. The countries signed the relevant document on the permanent mission of Turkmenistan in New York. During the meeting held after signing the joint communique, the parties expressed the interest in enhancing bilateral cooperation in various spheres and first of all – in the trade and economic industry. From a wide export list of the Republic of Paraguay (that includes soy, meat, vegetable oil, wood, leather, etc.), rare positions could be interesting for Turkmenistan. Whereas, oil and chemical products occupy a special place among the import articles that Paraguay stands in need. Given the rich resource potential and rapid industrial development, Turkmenistan in the near future could be a significant player in the Paraguayan segment of importing the products of oil processing and chemical industries.
