The Olympic flame of the Paris 2024 Games will be lit on April 16 in Olympia

The ceremony of lighting the flame of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris is to take place in the Greek Olympia on April 16 next year — 101 days before the opening ceremony of the competitions themselves in the French capital. This is reported by the Olympic news site Insidethegames.
The lighting will be followed by a week-long Olympic torch relay across Greece, which will end in Athens. From the Greek capital, the Olympic flame on the three—masted ship "Belem" will go to the host country - France.
On May 8, the ship is due to arrive at the Old Port of Marseille, where football and sailing competitions will be held during the Olympic Games. From there, the relay will continue through France.
The flame must pass through 54 departments of France and visit five overseas territories.
The Olympic Flame is due to arrive in Paris on July 14 next year — before the start of the Games. The opening ceremony of the largest international sports competitions will take place on July 26, 2024.
