In Ashgabat, streets will be partially blocked for cycling events — map

On June 3, the Chandybil Highway will be partially closed in Ashgabat and the Bitaraplyk Avenue will be almost completely closed for a mass cycling event dedicated to the World Bicycle Day.
As the organizers of the bike ride told ORIENT, it will start on the Chandybil highway near the monument "Bicycle" and will pass along Bitaraplyk Avenue.
The 11-kilometer bike marathon will end at the intersection between Bitaraplyk Avenue and Galkynysh Street. More information about the map can be found in the illustration below.

According to ORIENT data, there are no plans to restrict the movement of vehicles in the rest of the city on this day.
The World Bicycle Day was established by the UN on the initiative of Turkmenistan in 2018 to draw attention to the advantages of using a bicycle as a simple, affordable, clean and environmentally safe means of transportation.
