The Asian Belt Wrestling Championship is being held in Jizzakh, Uzbekistan, under the auspices of the United World of Wrestling (UWW). This is reported by the National News Agency of Uzbekistan.

Men and women from 12 countries take part in the championship, including Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Japan, Iran, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan.

The winners in the discipline "Alysh" in classical and freestyle have already been determined.

During the press conference that took place before the start of the competition, it was emphasized that today belt wrestling and its various types have been widely recognized and are actively developing.
