The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Brussels organizes the celebration of World Bicycle Day

The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belgium organizes the celebration of the World Bicycle Day in Brussels in the format of a mass bike ride. “This annual event is an excellent opportunity to promote a healthy lifestyle, environmental consciousness, the spirit of internationalism and friendship,” the embassy noted.
The bike ride will take place on June 2 in a magnificent forest park with lake Bois de la Cambre, around which cyclists will ride.
Inviting residents and guests of the Belgian capital to the festive action, the diplomatic mission announced that in order to encourage friendly rivalry, prizes will be awarded to three participants who will be the first to reach the finish line. The winners will receive awards in the style of Turkmen culture as a token of appreciation for their efforts. There will also be incentive gifts.
World Bicycle Day, celebrated on June 3, was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in April 2018. Turkmenistan initiated the establishment of this international date, where mass bike rides are held every year in honor of it. Festive events are also held by Turkmen embassies abroad.
