Turkmen citizens have the opportunity to study at the New York Film Academy


Professional and amateur teams of cinematographers from Turkmenistan are invited to participate in the competition of short films "48 Hours Film Race".
The annual Central Asian competition of cinematographers teams will bring together interested people from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, who will compete for a trip to the New York Academy of Cinema.

Participants will need to create a short film with the integration of a creative task. The works created within the framework of the competition will pass a two-stage selection level: a shortlist of the top 48 works and the final vote of the international jury. The criteria for selecting the best materials will include: technical quality, artistic value, creative approach, completion of work.
All films made in compliance with the rules will be shown in cinemas in Central Asian countries and published on the YouTube channel of the competition.
The winner of the Best Film nomination will have the opportunity to go to the New York Academy of Cinema for an intensive course on making a film lasting one month.
The winners in the categories "Best Student Film" and "Best Amateur Film" will receive a grant for a 15-week online training at this academy.
The "48 Hours Film Race" contest has been held since 2015 with the support of the US Diplomatic Mission in Kazakhstan.
