Experts of the customs services of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan discussed the formation of data on foreign trade statistics, as well as further mechanisms of cooperation in this area, the website of the Turkmen State Customs Service reports.

The meeting took place in Bukhara and was organized within the framework of the protocol between the two services on the exchange of information on the movement of goods of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The methodology of statistical data generation will be based on the documents of the UN Statistics Division. Experts conducted a comprehensive review of trade information for 2022.

It was determined that the main factors of discrepancies in statistical data are re-export through third countries, the use of different classification codes when declaring goods.
