The new Russian Ambassador presented credentials to the President of Turkmenistan


The new Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ivan Volynkin presented credentials to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. During the conversation with the Ambassador, the head of state noted the positive dynamics in bilateral relations between the two countries, TDH reports.
It was stated that the Turkmen-Russian political dialogue is currently being strengthened, including through direct contacts between the ministries and departments of the two countries, as well as inter-ministerial consultations.
The trade and economic sphere was named the priority areas of the partnership. It was stressed that Russia is one of the main trading partners of Turkmenistan. Effective cooperation has been established with the regions of the Russian Federation.
Other relevant topics were cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as the activities of the Intergovernmental Commission, whose work is aimed at increasing and diversifying economic and other contacts.
