The Turkmen footballer was recognized as the best player of the season in the Hong Kong championship
Turkmen football player, midfielder of "Kitchee" Ruslan Mingazov was recognized as the best player of the Hong Kong Championship at the end of the 2022/23 season.
The captains and head coaches of the championship teams, editors-in-chief of the leading Hong Kong sports media participated in the voting for the title of the best player of the season.
The footballer himself commented on receiving the award as follows:
"This is one of the best nights of my football career. And in the end, I want to say one thing: I hope that people around the world will be able to feel the same happiness as I am now. Special thanks to my sunny Turkmenistan, and to all those people who support me. Thanks to my homeland, it is a great honor for me to represent Turkmenistan and achieve success," the footballer shared on his Instagram page.
In the last championship draw, Mingazov scored 17 goals, becoming the top scorer of the tournament. In addition, the Turkmen football player won the Hong Kong Cup as part of the "Kitchee", became the national champion and the winner of the Hong Kong Senior Shield trophy.
At the beginning of 2023, the Kitchee Football club announced the extension of the contract with Ruslan Mingazov until 2025.
