Human Rights training Schools for youth with disabilities are being held in Ashgabat

Trainings are being held in Ashgabat within the framework of the Human Rights School for Young People with Disabilities. The course, organized under the auspices of the Regional Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) for Central Asia, will familiarize 18 young people with the UN Convention on Human Rights, its provisions, as well as basic approaches to protecting the rights of people with disabilities.
The first series of trainings took place from 10 to 13 April. After the final course of study, the practical part of the School will begin, which includes the organization of various campaigns to promote the rights of persons with disabilities.
The project "Human Rights School for Youth with Disabilities" was launched in April this year by the Regional Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) for Central Asia. The implementation of this initiative is of particular relevance in the year of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
