The universal international exhibition "White City Ashgabat" has opened in Ashgabat
The XXII universal international exhibition "White City Ashgabat" dedicated to the Day of the Capital of Turkmenistan has unfolded in the exhibition center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The congratulatory address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was read out at the opening ceremony. In particular, the Head of state noted:
— Today Ashgabat has become one of the dynamically developing cities in the world. Most of the projects presented at the annual international exhibition "White City Ashgabat" have been successfully implemented, many beautiful structures have been erected, which have become a real decoration of the capital.
The international exhibition clearly demonstrates the achievements of Ashgabat in the field of urban planning, as well as the possibilities of further development of the Turkmen capital.
The expositions reflect the image of Ashgabat, achievements in the fields of economy, science and education, healthcare, communications, culture and other areas of life.
The universal exhibition will show the successes in various areas of development of Ashgabat and strengthen international cooperation.
A special emphasis at the exhibition is placed on the possibilities of domestic entrepreneurship, expanding the range of import-substituting products.
The main conceptual idea of the exhibition is the achievements and prospects of urban planning and those key tasks that are solved by the joint efforts of the state and business, economists and programmers, designers and workers, as well as the residents of the city themselves.
It should be noted that the exhibition "White City Ashgabat" will last until May 25. This year, more than 140 Turkmen and foreign companies are taking part in it.
